As I'm sure you've noticed, I haven't been around much. I seem to have hit a lull in motivation for Dieudonne. I expect it will pick back up soon but for now I am taking a break. I don't have much fun with college students and I have about 8 households of them to go through so I'm only doing a little bit at a time.
In the meantime, I have given in and reinstalled Anygame so that I can have a couple other themed hoods. These ones will not be blogged about but I will post pictures and tidbits about what is going on in them on my new Simblr here: http://morrigansmadness.tumblr.com/ I have an apocalypse game that I probably won't post pictures of because it is very haphazard, a supernatural/fantasy hood that has a lot of aliens in it and not much else at the moment, and I have a neighborhood full of sims named after characters in Joss Whedon's shows (Firefly, Angel, Buffy, Dollhouse, Tru Calling, and I threw Charmed in because even though it is not Whedon I felt like they fit). The Whedon sims are vaguely based on the characters but they rarely look like them in any siginificant way, maybe hair, eye, and skin color, because I wasn't too concerned about it.
So, that is what I have been up to. When I do finish playing through a house or two in college I will begin posting them again, I already have one household that has taken an interesting turn, but I can't focus so I jump from house to house without playing the year through completely. Eventually I will finish with all of them, I swear. I'm just going to play around with other, more quickly moving towns for a bit.
And I rambled. I apologize. Cookies if you made it this far and I hope to be back here very soon.

Please Bear With Me
Classes have started back up and I'm trying to get settled into my schedule. I have two English courses that require a ton of reading and they've been taking up a lot of my time.
As a result, I haven't gotten around to typing up the three updates I've played through. I'll be typing up at least one this coming Saturday and adding it to the queue. My new plan is to get at least one up a week from here on out and once I have things under control school-wise I'll be able to go back up to two a week.
So, the Miller-St.Pierre family (Lizette and her last two children living at home, teenagers Lucius and Lysandra) will have their first update posted on Monday the 17th, followed by Quinn Albright and Samira Rowland the next Monday (the 24th). From there I will re-evaluate how often I can post updates.
Thanks for reading and I hope to get this blog more active very soon!

Still no desktop. :(
My plans this past weekend fell through so I don't have my other computer back yet which is very disappointing. But in happier news once I do get it back my boss is interested in helping me optimize whatever life it has left in it. Sadly, this means I won't be able to Sim on it right off, but it also means that once I do have it up and running again I will be able to Sim better and longer!
I've been focusing on trying to get all of my Sim profiles up lately, I have to finish updating about 30 that I have up so far with links and pictures and I have another 50 that haven't even been posted yet, but this means I'm nearly done! (I didn't know it would be so exciting to still have 80 profiles left to put up...)
And finally, I have another family update to post, but that requires finding time to write it up and crop the pictures. Hopefully it will be up this weekend.
Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great day!

Happy News!
I should be getting my desktop computer back in just over a week so I can load up all of the eps and have a lot more custom content! No more being limited to what I think my laptop can handle without freaking out on me and no more graphics cards issues! I might be a little excited...

Hi All
Well, I was planning on getting another update up this weekend but I am going out of town and not bringing my laptop. So, no Simming or blogging for me at all until at least Monday. I'm aiming for 2-3 posts a week but I don't have a back log yet to cover the times I'm not able to do so. I guess for the next few weekends (after my trip) that will be my project. :) I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

Here is the roster for round one (well, I will reset my personal counter and start numbering the rounds from one to make it easier to follow along). It is subject to change at any time but this is the general plan.

Update
Just a quick note:
I've updated the previous entries to include the ages of each of the sims now that I've had a chance to take a good look at them. Because of the way that I had played before some of the gaps between parent and child were very screwed up. I fixed it so that there is now at least a sixteen year gap between any parent and child (except for the children born in-game where I know that the parent was really only 14 or 15). Since I am now playing with aging off this won't make much difference. I simply adjusted their age in my files and will wait to advance them or allow them to die until they reach the correct age again (i.e. if I moved someone from 60 back to 55 and they had 15 days left, they now have 20).

Gameplay and Aging
My gameplay has changed a lot in the last year.
Old gameplay:
Originally I played in 1 week rounds so that I could easily keep track of which families I'd played. Aging was the maxis default and I played each house from Sunday evening to sometime Sunday after 6pm before moving on to the next house. Anyone that aged up to adult and moved out at the beginning of the week (before Wednesday) was added to that round's list of yet to be played households and anyone that aged up at the end of the week was added to the list of already played houses. This threw some ages off at times and made for a very long play schedule. When I implemented a rule that everyone had to go to University it fixed some of the confusion because I simply added the graduates to the next round after they graduated, but I also just took everyone that was going to age to adult during that round's week (so, all teens with 7-1 day left) and sent them at once. Which caused all Sims in that 7 year span to be the same age.
New gameplay:
The round that I will begin soon will be my first round using a two-year system based a lot on Sullivan's system. This way I can play with aging off and manually age my Sims. I'll be able to play in each house as long as I want without worrying about them losing sync with the rest of my town which was always my concern. Playing for only two days would allow for quicker rounds but wouldn't give quite enough time to actually accomplish anything. This way they only age two years each round but I can play them as long as I'd like (/duh, *should have thought of this earlier*).

A Brief Introduction to Dieudonné
Hello All,
Caitria here and I'd like to tell you all about Dieudonné, a town that I created in The Sims 2.
I've been playing The Sims since TS1. I own TS3 and TSMedieval but I very rarely play them. For some reason I always find myself coming back to TS2; it is truly where my heart lies.
I started Dieudonné over two years ago as a challenge with my sister to see if we could play a whole town, on rotation, without getting bored and creating new families. The only cheat allowed was money to get the families into decent homes to begin with (and maxmotives only if in dire need). We each made 15 families of varying sizes and makeups and started with an empty hood on our respective laptops. A lot of the families in these towns melded together very quickly. There were a few families with large numbers of children that intermarried and had a couple more of their own. I never really thought about my population until I realized that I had families with 14 kids and each of these kids were going to soon start their own.
